Australia’s top real estate agents have been revealed for 2021 — and they DON’T include the flash and brash high-rollers who sell multimillion dollar homes on social media.

Real Estate Business website has produced its annual list of the nation’s biggest home sellers, topped by Sydney’s Alex Phillips who sold more than $700million-worth of property in the last year.

But Zed Nasheet — who produces epic marketing campaigns featuring private jets, Lamborghinis and Rolls-Royces to sell homes on Instagram in Melbourne — insists: ‘Nobody does more numbers than me.

‘It’s physically, mentally impossible. I’m not in the top 100 — I’m definitely in the top 5. I’ve sold more real estate in Melbourne than anyone who’s ever existed.’

Mr Nasheet, 31, says he’s sold in excess of $1.4billion worth of property in the last two years, including seven homes in 24 hours last Friday.

‘I don’t even know who these awards are,’ he told Daily Mail Australia. ‘All those numbers are fake — that’s why I gave up on those things.

‘We are the most followed real estate brand in Australia.’

The $400,000 Lamborghini Huracan-driving founder of Zed Real Estate insists his modern approach sets him apart from his rivals.

Former Afghani refugee Zed Nasheet (pictured) now wears $1000 suits and like many of the new breed of 30-something agents, is relentless in his pursuit of self-promotion for new sales

In addition to the signature flashy video campaigns for his properties, his company has ‘liztings’, makes ‘zales’ and slaps ‘zold’ stickers on their billboards.

‘Success starts from doing things differently,’ he says. ‘My business is very different.

‘If this was in America we wouldn’t have stood out, but because we are in Australia, we don’t like innovation and change. Not many agents like it.

‘The properties need to be sold right. I just sold something for $2.35million on Instagram. I sold something else for $10million on Instagram.

‘No other agent does it so I don’t need someone else to tell me the real estate business or that I need to be in the top 100.’

In Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs though, more traditional estate agent Alex Phillips, 41, is aiming to become Australia’s first $1billion a year home salesman.

Traditional estate agent Alex Phillips, 41, (pictured) was named the number one estate agent in Australia for 2021 and is aiming to become Australia’s first $1billion a year home salesman.

Over the last year, he sold four or five properties every single week for more than $3.1million each on average to secure top spot on the list for the sixth year running.

‘Hopefully we’ll get closer to a billion this year,’ he told Daily Mail Australia. ‘I don’t see it as work. I love what I do and we’re always getting better.

‘We stay very approachable, easy to deal with and not over the top. We might be number one, but we don’t act like it. We treat everyone the same.’

His firm PPD, based in leafy Woollahra — which saw sales grow 30 per cent last year despite the pandemic — has shied away from the brash social media campaign of some rivals.

‘They’re obviously trying their best and are our main competitors,’ he admitted. ‘But I don’t think Australians like that.

‘I think that’s why a lot of people like us, because they are high net worth people and don’t like that.

‘A lot of people who are high net worth, you wouldn’t know what they do or what they’re worth — and they want to deal with people who are similar.

‘All we put on our social media is sold property.’

Sydney’s Northern Beaches estate agent Michael Clarke, 43, was again runner up to Mr Phillips on the top 100 list, as he was last year.
